Full data protection statement

In this project, we collect data for scientific research on the experiences of the Finnish houses. The information will be used to develop guidelines for better crisis housing in the future. We collect data specifically on how people experienced living in the houses since this is not described in archives or formal documents.

We will conduct a digital survey and face-to-face interviews within this project. The data is collected on a volunteer basis and the research team does not pay participants money to take part in the survey. You should be over 18 years old to answer the questions. You are not asked to give out any personal information such as names, addresses, or information related to health, religion, or politics. If some of the information included in the answers still contains data that could be understood as personal data it is removed from the collected material before it is stored in the project’s files on Åbo Akademi University servers. All respondents remain completely anonymous.

The program used for the survey is REDCap. For interviews, we will meet respondents on-site or through ZOOM. All data is encrypted and processed on Åbo Akademi University’s secure servers in Finland.
